Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to register to vote?

Yes.

How do I register to vote?

You can register to vote by filling out a registration application.  You can pick one up at any state agency, Secretary of State’s Election Division office, or download here.

Will I have to serve jury duty?

While jury pool lists were once gathered from voter registration lists, prospective jurors are chosen from many places now, such as lists of people with a driver’s license.

How can I find out if I’m registered to vote?

After filling out a voter registration application, you will receive a card in the mail from your county registrar with your precinct information.

Do I need to bring my registration card to vote?

No, you only need to bring a valid photo ID.

If I moved away from home am I still registered?

If you are no longer living at the same location as you were when you registered to vote, you should update your registration information. If you chose not to update your voter registration, you run the risk of being deleted from the voter registration list.

I am in college, but I am registered to vote.  How will I be able to vote?
