Secretary Cox to Release Results of Survey of
Georgia Investors Friday, Dec. 12th at 9:30 a.m. in Atlanta

ATLANTA … Secretary of State Cathy Cox and staff of the University of Georgia’s Survey Research Center will release the results of a comprehensive survey of Georgia investors Friday, Dec. 12th at 9:30 a.m. at the Capitol Education Center in downtown Atlanta. Secretary Cox and researchers involved in preparing and fielding the study will brief community, legal and industry leaders on its findings.

The survey, conducted this fall by the UGA center and including more than 2,000 Georgia respondents, is believed to be the most comprehensive ever performed in the state.  The study was designed to quantify the awareness and knowledge of Georgians about their investment choices and how prepared consumers are to avoid scams and frauds in the financial marketplace. 

Secretary of State Cox serves as Georgia’s Commissioner of Securities and her office is responsible for regulating securities firms and products at the state level.
