Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine at its October 12 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine held its meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.

The board voted to accept an indefinite suspension on Dr. Mary Logan of Atlanta, a reinstatement consent order on Dr. Lori Ann Turner of Sandy Springs, and a voluntary surrender on veterinary technician Aimee Davis of Dallas.

The board voted to post an amendment to Board Rule 700-8-.01 Unprofessional Conduct. The purpose of the rule amendment is to require a client make a request to a veterinarian before a written prescription is provided.

The Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine will hold its next meeting Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
