Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine at its December 2 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine held its meeting on Wednesday, December 2, 2009.
The Board voted to post amendments to Board Rules 700-7-.03 Continuing Veterinary Education and 700-7-.04 Veterinary Technician Continuing Education. The main features of the rule amendments require one hour of the laws, rules and professionalism continuing education to be acquired in person; removes blanket approval for the laws, rules and professionalism continuing education; and limits the number of continuing education courses that can be acquired by in-house training at a licensees’ place of employment to six.
The Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine will hold its next meeting Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
