Action Taken by the Georgia State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers at Its October 6 Meeting

Macon, Ga. – The Georgia State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers met on October 6, 2011.

The board approved 12 used motor vehicle parts dealer applications for licensure.

The board voted to ratify the following cease and desist order for unlicensed practice:

  • Marlon McGarrell, Riverdale

The board voted to accept the following order to receive fine money:

  • El Palmar Auto Sales, LLC, Gainesville, $250 fine for failure to properly notify the Board within 30 days of a change of location.
  • Payne Brothers, Inc., Buford, $500 fine for failure to maintain the required surety bond or liability insurance.

The board voted to accept a consent agreement, which provides for a public reprimand and licensure by the board with a $250 fine for unlicensed practice, from the following:

  • Fuller Auto Parts, Inc., Gainesville

The board voted to accept a consent agreement, which provides for a public reprimand and probation until December 30, 2012, from the following:

  • Mabel D. Alvarado dba E A Motors, Inc., Buford

The Georgia State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers will hold their next meeting on Thursday, December 1, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
