Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers at its September 21 Meeting

Macon, Ga. – The Georgia State Board of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers met on Wednesday, September 21, 2011.

The board approved five applications for licensure.

The board ratified the following cease and desist orders for unlicensed practice:

  • Dallas Auto Broker, Dallas
  • Auto Deals, Mableton
  • Auto Home Concierge LLC, Mableton
  • Cars Unlimited, Forest Park
  • Off -Lease Auto Service, Forest Park
  • Century Motorsports Inc., Marietta
  • C & B Auto Sales, Covington
  • New Deal Used Cars, Sharpsburg
  • Frank Jones dba Frank's Auto & Transmission, Valdosta
  • Donald Patton dba Zenith Auction & Realty, Lakeland
  • Hunts Wrecker Service, Avondale Estates
  • Ernel Drummond, Avondale Estates
  • Childre Chevrolet Olds Pontiac, Sandersville
  • Leisure Travel LLC, Buford

The board approved the following orders to accept fine money for inspection violations:

  • Atlanta Fine Cars, Jonesboro, $750 fine for failure to display a properly completed buyer guides as prescribed by the Federal Trade Commission Rules.
  • Atlanta Auto Lease, Alpharetta, $500 fine for failure to apply for a title in the retail purchaser’s name within 30 calendar days after the date of sale.
  • Future Auto Sales, Warner Robins, $500 fine for failure to furnish the retail purchaser of a vehicle the proper documents to obtain a tag for that vehicle within thirty calendar days from the date of purchase.
  • Credit Cars, Gainesville, $500 fine for failure to apply for a title in the retail purchaser’s name within 30 calendar days after the date of sale.
  • Williams D Auto Sales Inc., Norcross, $1,500 fine for failure to apply for a title in the retail purchaser’s name within 30 calendar days after the date of sale.
  • Elite Auto Broker, Columbus, $750 fine for failure to properly make application to the Division for a name change or change of location within the required 30 day period.
  • Southern Auto Imports LLC, Stone Mountain, $1,250 fine for failure to display a properly completed buyer guides as prescribed by the Federal Trade Commission Rules.
  • Auto Deals, Mableton, $500 fine for fiding and abetting an unlicensed person in selling vehicles by allowing the unlicensed person to sell those vehicles using a license granted by the Division
  • Simon Auto Sales Inc., Augusta, $1,000 fine for failure to display a properly completed buyer guides as prescribed by the Federal Trade Commission Rules.
  • El Palmar Auto Sales, Gainesville, $250 fine for failure to properly make application to the Division for a name change or change of location within the required 30 day period.
  • Wingham's Auto Sales Inc., Pelham, $250 fine for failure to display a properly completed buyer guides as prescribed by the Federal Trade Commission Rules.
  • DUC Imports Inc., Atlanta, $250 fine for failure to properly make application to the Division for a name change or change of location within the required 30 day period.
  • C & B Auto Sales, Covington, $250 fine for failure to properly make application to the Division for a name change or change of location within the required 30 day period.
  • Fletcher Auto Sales Inc., Augusta, $1,150 fine for failure to display a properly completed buyer guides as prescribed by the Federal Trade Commission Rules.
  • Auto World, Savannah, $500 fine for failure to furnish the retail purchaser of a vehicle the proper documents to obtain a tag for that vehicle within 30 calendar days from the date of purchase.
  • Lawson Auto Sales, Albany, $250 fine for failure to display a properly completed buyer guides as prescribed by the Federal Trade Commission Rules.

The board voted to deny an open records request from Dell Brown with Pierce County Planning and Codes concerning Perez Auto Sales of Blackshear.

The Georgia State Board of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers will hold their next meeting on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
