Action Taken by the Georgia State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers and Parts Dealers, Used Motor Vehicle Division at its January Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers and Parts Dealers, Used Motor Vehicle Division met on Wednesday, January 21, 2009.

The Board accepted Cease & Desist Orders from the following for unlicensed practice:

• Larry Mannion & M&M Motors Inc., Hinesville
• Tennessee-Ga. Auto Auction, Ringgold
• Cashlink Title Pawn, Macon

The Board accepted a Cease & Desist Order on the following for failure to apply for a change of location:

• Off Lease Auto Source, Decatur

The Board accepted a Consent Order for probationary licensure from the following: 

• Unique Auto Sales, Albany

The Board approved Orders Accepting Fine Monies & Settling Inspections from the following establishments:

• Car Corner, Cartersville: A $500 fine for two instances of failure to post FTC Buyer Guides on each vehicle offered for sale.
• Deal or No Deal, Richmond Hill: A $500 fine for failure to maintain surety bond.
• Sunset Auto Sales, Thomson:  A $1,250 fine for five instances of failure to post FTC Buyer Guides on each vehicle offered for sale.
• Discount Auto Sales/J&E Auto Sales, Inc., Wrightsville: A $500 fine for failure to maintain surety bond.

The Board accepted the voluntary surrender of the following establishments’ licenses:

• Direct Deal Auto Sales, Atlanta
• Patriot Pre-Owned, Acworth

The Georgia State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers and Parts Dealers, Used Motor Vehicle Division will hold its next meeting on March, 18, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
