Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers at its August 7 Meeting

Macon, Ga. – The Georgia State Board of Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers held its scheduled meeting on Thursday, August 7, 2008.

The Board accepted Public Consent Orders on each of the following:

• Parts R Us, Columbus:  A $5,000 fine for 20 possessions of open title.
• Mekalinks Global Inc, Austell:  A $500 fine for failure to submit application for an address change within 30 days of the effective date of change.
• DAJ Used Auto Sales Inc, Lake City:  Fines totaled $750. A $250 fine for failure to submit application for an address change within 30 days of the effective date of change, and a $500 fine for failure to maintain current surety bond. 

The Georgia State Board of Registration for Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers will hold its next meeting on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
