Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology at its March 14 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology met Monday, March 14, 2010.

The Board voted to post amendments to Board Rule 609-7-.01 Continuing Professional Education Requirements. The rule amendment restricts to .8 CEUs (eight clock hours) the amount of continuing education that can be acquired within a 24 hour period.

The Board voted to post and repeal Board Rule 609-9-.01 Inactive Status, which will remove the ability for a practitioner to be placed on inactive status.   

The Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology will hold its next meeting Monday, April 11, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. via conference call.
