Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology at its June 28 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology met Monday, June 28, 2010.

The Board voted to post amendments to the following two rules:

  • Rule 609-3-.04 Paid Clinical Experience/Required Professional Experience. The rule amendment specifies the minimum work hour requirements for completion of the PCE/RPE.
  • Rule 609-7-.01 Continuing Professional Education Requirements. The amendments restrict the continuing education that can be awarded for ethics, record-keeping, documentation, Georgia laws and rules, Medicaid regulations and/or Medicare regulations or related topics.  

The Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology will hold its next meeting Monday, July 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
