Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology at its April 19 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology met Monday, April 19, 2010.

The Board voted to post amendments to the following Board Rules:

  • Rule 609-3-.04 Paid Clinical Experience/Required Professional Experience: Removes the 14 day reporting requirement for submission of documentation of completion of the PCE/RPE, and further amends the minimum hour requirements for the PCE/RPE. 
  • Rule 609-7-.01 Continuing Professional Education Requirements: Makes further restrictions for continuing education awarded for courses in the areas of ethics, record-keeping, documentation, Georgia laws and rules, Medicaid regulations and/or Medicare regulations, or related topics not otherwise excluded in Georgia laws and rules.

The Georgia State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology will hold its next meeting Monday, May 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
