Applicants must be graduates of a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited school;
Applicants must provide official transcript from the institution granting the entry level degree in physical therapy or physical therapy assistant indicating the date of graduate;
Applicants must submit verification of licensure from all states in which they have ever been issued a license, regardless of current status; and
Applicants must submit passing scores from the NPTE.
Regardless of the state requirements in the state you are transferring from, applicants will be required to obtain the minimum number of continuing competence hours required by Georgia (30 per biennium). (See Rule 490-4 and Board Policy)
Applicants must submit passing scores from the Georgia law exam.
An applicant who has taken the NPTE four or more times before receiving a passing score on the exam will be required to submit further evidence of competency or stipulations as determined by the Board.
