The Georgia State Board of Examiners of Psychologists is a six-member board consisting of five psychologists and one consumer member. Board members are appointed by the Governor to provide consumer protection and public health and welfare through the regulation of the profession. The Board processes licensure applications and receives, investigates and adjudicates complaints issued against licensed psychologists.

Beginning July 3, 2007, the Psychology Jurisprudence Examination will no longer be administered as a paper and pencil examination. The exam will be administered as a computerized exam. After a candidate’s application to take the exam has been approved by the Board, candidates will receive a “Notice to Register for the Exam.” Candidates may then schedule themselves for the time of the exam by following the directions on the “Notice to Register for the Exam” and submitting the requested information from any computer. The scheduling of candidates for the July 2007 exam will begin June 13, 2007
