Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors at its May 10 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors met on Tuesday, May 10, 2011.
The Board reviewed and approved 168 applicants seeking registration as a professional engineer by comity; one application for a regular applicant seeking certification as a professional engineer; 16 engineers-in-training; three land surveyors; four applications for reinstatement as a professional engineer; one application for reinstatement as a land surveyor; 32 applications for professional engineer firms; and three applications for land surveyor firms.
The Board voted to accept the following Cease and Desist Orders for unlicensed practice:
- Larry Arnwine, Duluth
- Raymond Choi Bechthold, Lawrenceville
- Bradley E. Lowery, Jr., Peachtree City
The Board voted to accept the following Consent Order placing the PE license on probation for 12 months:
- Don Wijeratne, Sugar Land, TX
The Board voted to accept the following Consent Order for renewal of PE license, assessing a $500 fine for sanctions in other states:
- James M. Purdy, Dallas, TX
The Board voted to accept the following Consent Order for renewal of a PE license, assessing a $500 fine for sanctions in another state:
- James Burch, Donaldsonville
The Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors will hold its next meeting Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
