Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors at its June 8 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors met on Tuesday, June 8, 2010.

The Board reviewed and approved 138 applicants seeking registration as a professional engineer by comity, 295 applications for regular applicants seeking certification as a professional engineer, 132 engineers-in-training, 24 land surveyors, 16 land surveyors-in-training, and six applications for reinstatement as a professional engineer.

The Board voted to accept the following cease and desist orders for unlicensed practice:

• Richard Darnell, Dawsonville
• Ronald Ruger Jr., Macon

The Board voted to accept the following consent order for practicing on an expired license:

• Jalal Ketabi, Cypress, TX

The Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors will hold its next meeting Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
