Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors at its September 15 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors met on Tuesday, September 15, 2009.
The Board voted to approve 300 applicants seeking registration as a professional engineer by comity; 63 regular applicants seeking certification as an engineer-in-training; and 302 senior applicants seeking certification as an engineer-in-training.
The Board voted to approve cease and desist orders from the following individuals for unlicensed practice as a professional engineer:
- Ben B. Barrow Jr., d/b/a LRA Constructors, Inc., Albany
- Dan Kemp III, Albany
- Greg Freeman, Albany
- John Parker, Marietta
- Paris Pressley, Newnan
The Board voted to approve cease and desist orders from the following individuals for unlicensed practice as a land surveyor:
The Board voted to approve a consent order from the following individual for assisting unlicensed practice:
- William Howell, Loganville: Fined $2,500 and five years probation
The Board voted to approve a consent order from the following individual for substandard work:
- Edwin Russell Koons, Peachtree City: Twelve months probation.
