Actions Taken by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors at its November 13 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 13.

The Board voted to revise the following policies: 

  • 04-05R was changed to 07-01 and adopted: Policy change to allow the Board to decide whether an applicant who has been approved to sit for four exam offerings, but has taken and failed two or less, would be required to receive additional education from an ABET/EAC accredited school before being granted one additional offering.
  • 07-02 was adopted:  Policy change to require individuals who have not been licensed for four years in Georgia or any other jurisdiction to take and pass the principles and practices examination.

The next meeting of the Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 9:30 am at the Professional Licensing Boards Division in Macon.
