Georgia Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
Examination Application Instructions

All applicants, except college seniors who are enrolled in accredited engineering programs or accredited engineering technology programs and who are seeking admission to the engineering-in-training examination, must contact the board office for an application and an examination scheduling form. You may download both of the forms here.  The completed application, including all experience endorsements, verifications of certification, transcripts, etc., and appropriate fee must be received by the board office by June 15 for October examinations or by December 15 for April examinations. College seniors should obtain an application and an examination scheduling form from their college or university.

The examination scheduling form and appropriate fee must be received by the board's examination administrator, Applied Measurement Professionals, (AMP), by March 1 for April examinations and September 1 for October examinations.

Be sure to submit your examination scheduling form and fee directly to AMP by the appropriate deadline. Do not delay submitting your scheduling form pending notification of approval or denial from the board. The board cannot be responsible for you being granted a seat for your examination if your scheduling form and fee are not received by AMP by its deadline. AMP's telephone number is (913) 541-0400.

Georgia law [General Provisions Volume 30, Title 43-1-9(1)(2)(3)] provides that veterans meeting certain conditions are eligible for the addition of five or ten percentage points to their examination scores. The veteran must have served for a minimum of one year in active duty status, and must have served during a period of conflict or war for a minimum of 90 days. If you wish to apply for veterans preference points, you may bring a copy of your DD-214 form to the examination site and turn it in to the examination proctor.
