Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy at its May 13 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy met on Friday, May 13, 2011.
The Board voted to approve five applications for licensure by application, 17 requests for certification of physical agent modality – OT/OTA, and five application for licensure by restoration.
The Board elected the following 2011-2012 Board Officers:
- Kendyl Brock, Chair
- Kathleen Conyers, Vice Chair
The Board voted to suspend the following OT/OTA licenses to practice for failure to repay a student loan, and further moved that this suspension will cease upon receipt by the Division Director of a “Notice of Release” from the Georgia Higher Education Assistance Corporation:
- Melissa G. Haggins, Jackson
- Martha A. Williams, Augusta
The Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy will hold its next meeting Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. via conference call.
