Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy at its July 18 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy held its bi-monthly meeting on Friday, July 18, 2008.
The Board voted to post the proposed amendment to the following rule as presented, upon the receipt of the Assistant Attorney General’s memo of authority:
Rule 671-3-.08, Renewal of License/Penalties/Continuing Education Requirements: The proposed amendment adds language to clarify the continuing education requirement and a time frame for obtaining continuing education hours required for license renewal.
The Board welcomed and swore in new members Ms. Rachele Branson of Stone Mountain and Mr. Jeff Etheridge of Albany. Ms. Mary Louise Austin of Sandy Springs was reappointed to the Board for a subsequent term of office ending in June 2010. The Board also thanked Ms. Karen Cadaret of Alpharetta, who is retiring from the Board.
The Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy will hold its next meeting Friday, September 19, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Board in Macon.
