Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Optometry at its October 27 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Optometry held its meeting on Wednesday, October 27, 2010.
The Board adopted the following rule:
- Board Rule 430-2-.04 Continuing Education Requirements
The Board provided the following advisory statement:
- Georgia licensed Doctors of Optometry, including those who practice as Independent Contractors, must provide copies of documentation for services and procedures billed to the patient(s) and maintain copies of such documentation on said patient(s) to reflect the eye care services that were provided by the doctor and that the patient(s) were appropriately billed for such services.
The Georgia State Board of Optometry is currently scheduled to hold its next meeting Friday, January 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
