Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Optometry at its April 28 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Optometry held its meeting on Wednesday, April 28, 2010.

The Board voted to approve the following applications for licensure:

• Elyse L. Chaglasian, Deerfield, IL: Endorsement
• David Anthony Pifer, Hixson, TN: Reinstatement

The Board voted to ratify 10 administratively approved applications for licensure.

The Board considered a Rule Waiver Request from Andrea Loiselle to waive Board Rule 430-2-.04. The Board voted to give her 10 days to produce proof of continuing education or offer her an inactive license status.

The Board considered a Rule Waiver Request from Walter Krickich. The Board voted to approve his waiver request from Board Rule 430-2-.04(5).

The Board considered a Rule Waiver Request from David Saliba. The Board voted to approve his waiver request from Board Rule 430-2-.04(5)(a-d).

The Georgia State Board of Optometry is currently scheduled to hold its next meeting Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
