Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Optometry at its April 22 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Optometry met on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.

The Board voted to ratify the licenses of the following individuals:

• Paul Raymond Mayo, II, Beaufort, S.C.
• Thomas E. Foster, Kennesaw
• Fazeela Karim, Pembroke Pines, FL

The Board voted to reinstate the license for Devi Priya Janakiraman, Duluth.

The Board voted to lift the sanctions from the Consent Order for Bernard Goldstein, Powder Springs.

The Board voted to accept the Voluntary Cease and Desist Order for John J. Janvier, Bluffton, S.C. for unlicensed practice.

The Georgia State Board of Optometry will hold its next meeting Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 10:00 at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon, Georgia.
