Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Dispensing Opticians at its June 14 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Dispensing Opticians met on Monday, June 14, 2010.

The following petition for waiver/variance request was presented:

• Anastasia Snowden, Rule 420-9-.01 Continuing Education for License Renewal. Board decision: Denied; substantial and demonstrable hardship not proven.

The Board voted to ratify and accept the following cease and desist orders for unlicensed practice as dispensing opticians:

• Maria L. Ankles Burrow, Marietta
• William Casey Cochran, Marietta

The Georgia State Board of Dispensing Opticians will hold its next meeting Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
