Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Dispensing Opticians at its December 5 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Dispensing Opticians held its quarterly meeting Wednesday, December 5.

The Board voted to accept the following Voluntary Cease and Desist Order:

· Joel Vilaire, Lithia Springs: Unlicensed Practice

The Board voted to accept the following licensees by reinstatement:

· Patricia Little, Yemassee, SC

· Melanie Gaye Bryant, Conyers

· Jennifer Marr, Jasper

The Board voted to accept the following licensee by experience:

Francine Kay Lee, Jonesboro

In other business, Mr. Randall D. Vaughn, the new Director of the Professional Licensing Boards Division, was introduced to the Board members.

The next meeting of the Georgia State Board of Dispensing Opticians will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division in Macon.
