The Georgia Board of Nursing Home Administrators is a 13-member board appointed by the Governor consisting of a licensed medical doctor, a licensed registered nurse, an educator with a graduate degree specializing in gerontology, three public members at large, a hospital administrator, and six members, at least one of whom shall represent nonproprietary nursing homes, who are licensed nursing home administrators in this state.
The Board meets quarterly to license nursing home administrators and to ensure quality administration and sound management of nursing homes. The Board also administers an administrator-in-training program.
