Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy at Its October 20 Meeting

Macon, Ga. — The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy met on Thursday, October 20, 2011.

The Board voted to approve 30 applications for licensure by application and 10 applications for licensure by reinstatement.

The following petition for waiver/variance request was presented to the Board:

• Ralph H. Ellis, Hogansville, Rule 345-7-.01 Approved Fees; Board Decision: Denied, insufficient evidence provided to prove hardship.

The following individuals signed cease and desist orders for unlicensed practice of massage therapy:

• Jo Lene Davis, Lagrange
• Mark Davis, Lagrange

The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy will hold its next meeting Friday, December 9, 2011, at 9 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
