Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy at its September 15 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy met on Wednesday, September 15, 2010.

The following petitions for waiver/variance requests were presented to the Board:

  • Allison Kirchner, Springfield, Rule 345-4-.02 Continuing Education Hours. Amended. Board Decision: Granted upon the receipt of additional documentation.  All hours must be obtained by October 31, 2010 and submitted for Board review.
  • Diane Loffmin, Martin, Rule 345-4-.02 Continuing Education Hours. Amended. Board Decision: Denied. Insufficient evidence submitted.
  • Jeremy Risinger, Tifton, Rule 345-5-.01 References. Board Decision: Granted.
  • Lauren Zuk, Sandy Springs, Rule 345-4-.02 Continuing Education Hours. Amended. Board Decision: Denied. Must obtain 24 hours of CE by October 31, 2010. Hours must be completed through an approved NCB Continuing Education provider.
  • Lori Humphrey, Cumming, Rule 345-4-.02 Continuing Education Hours. Amended. Board Decision: Denied. Insufficient evidence submitted.
  • Marjorie Sheffey, Atlanta, Rule 345-4-.02 Continuing Education Hours. Amended. Board Decision: Granted. Remaining Continuing Education hours can be obtained on-line.

The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy will hold its next meeting October 27-28, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
