Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy at its August 28 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy met on Friday, August 28, 2009.
The Board voted to approve 11 applicants for licensure by application and eight applicants for licensure by reinstatement.
The Board voted to accept cease and desist orders from the following individuals for unlicensed practice:
- Luree Cavender, LaGrange
- Sheila J. Davis, LaGrange
The Board voted to suspend the license of the following individual for default of a student loan:
- Marlisee Z. Singleton, Marietta
The Board voted to elect Jane Johnson of Marietta as Chair and Melony Phillips of Acworth as Vice Chair.
The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy will hold its next meeting Friday, October 23, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
