A11. Yes. Twenty-four (24) Hours of Continuing Education (CE) acceptable to the Board are required to be obtained by the expiration date of each biennium renewal period. However, a massage therapist who received their initial Georgia Massage Therapy License within one year of the expiration date shall only be required to complete twelve (12) Hours of Continuing Education acceptable to the Board for their initial renewal period only. Recent graduates of a Board recognized massage therapy education program who apply for their initial Georgia licensure as a massage therapist within one (1) year of the individual’s date of graduation from a Board recognized massage therapy program are exempt from having to obtain continuing education hours for their initial biennium renewal period only.
