Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses held its bi-monthly meeting on Wednesday and Thursday, December 9-10, 2009.

The Board ratified 445 licensees including initial licensure, reinstatements, endorsements and equivalency.

The Board accepted the following public consent orders:

• Max Shannon McGhee, Jasper: Five years probationary licensure.
• Jennifer Adams, Phenix City, AL: Five years probationary licensure.

The Board accepted the following public reprimand:

• Cynthia M. Earle, Madison, FL: Requires nursing education course on HIPAA compliance and Ethics.

The Board accepted the following public consent agreements for reinstatement of licensure for unlicensed practice:

• Jennifer Lynn Overstreet, Alma
• Heather Haskins Day, Broxton
• Pepsee Lee Tanner, East Dublin
• Jeanne Adele Harris, Loganville
• Katherine Roberta Williamson, Rutledge
• Cindy Lou Stein Mott, Stockbridge
• Sandra Lynn Land, Wrens

The Board ratified Amendments to the following rules:

• Rule 400-2-.04: Interstate Endorsement Licensure
• Rule 400-3-.01: New Nursing Education Program Defined
• Rule 400-3-.02: New Nursing Education Program Development
• Rule 400-3-.14: Program changes Requiring Board Approval and Board Notification and Procedures for Approval

The Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses will hold its next meeting Wednesday and Thursday, February 10-11, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division in Macon.
