Actions Taken by the Georgia Board of Funeral Services at its November 9 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Board of Funeral Services met on Tuesday, November 9, 2010.

The Board voted to approve three new funeral establishment licenses, two funeral director licenses, four embalmer licenses, five changes to funeral director in full and continuous charge of a funeral establishment, and two changes of name for funeral establishments.

The Board voted to suspend the following licenses for failure to repay a student loan:

  • Eric D. Collins, Atlanta
  • Pamela Riner Wilson, Buena Vista

The Board approved the following request for a grace period to replace the facilities’ funeral director in full and continuous charge:

  • DT Brown Memorial, LLC, Thomson

The Board approved the following requests for a second grace period to replace the facilities’ funeral director in full and continuous charge:

  • Crematory of Forsyth, Cumming
  • Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home, Vidalia

The Georgia Board of Funeral Services will hold its next meeting Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
