Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Funeral Service at its July 17 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Funeral Service held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 17, 2008.

The Board approved the following orders to accept fine monies for inspection violations and settling cases:

• Bentley & Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville: Inspection citation fine of $100 for failure to maintain one operable hearse or combination hearse/ambulance.
• Speer & Speer Funeral Home, McDonough: Inspection citation fine of $300 for failure to maintain eight adult caskets in the display room. The room was deficient three caskets.

The Georgia State Board of Funeral Service will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
