Actions Taken by the Georgia Board State Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies at its September 30 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies held its meeting on Thursday, September 30, 2010.

The Board voted to approve seven private detective company licenses, four private security company licenses, two private detective and security company licenses, one firearms training instructor license, three security guard with an exposed weapon licenses, one private detective and security guard with an exposed and concealed weapon employee license, two private detective employee licenses, and two private detective and security guard employee licenses.

The Board voted to approve six private security company applicants, four private detective company applicants, one in-house security company applicant, and two private detective and security company applicants to sit for the exam.

The Board reinstated one private security company license and one private detective company license.

The Board approved a request for a 180 day grace period from the following licensee to replace the company’s designee:

  • American Citadel Guard, Inc., Atlanta

The Board voted to ratify the following cease and desist orders issued for unlicensed practice:

  • Kelvin Christopher Glenn, Atlanta
  • Paul William Smith, Atlanta
  • Wayne Wiley Jr., Atlanta
  • Brian M. Morgan, Atlanta
  • Yarzebia L White, Clarkston
  • Roger D Campbell, Clarkston
  • Jamir Bailey, College Park
  • Melvin Rodney Wise, Pine Lake

The Georgia State Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies will hold its next meeting Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
