Actions Taken by the Georgia Board State Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies at its November 5 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies held its meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2009.

The Board voted to approve five classroom/firearms training instructor licenses; two  classroom instructor licenses; one in-house security employee license; one in-house private detective employee license; 14 private detective company licenses; 10 private detective security guard licenses; nine private security company licenses; two private detective and security company licenses; 49 private detective employee licenses and 146 security guard employee licenses.

The Board voted to accept a consent order from the following applicant for licensure:

  • Joesph Higley, Hinesville

The Board voted to accept a consent order from the following establishment:

  • B E S T, Inc., Riverdale

The Board voted to lift the probation status for the following licensed individuals or establishments:

  • Savannah Investigative and Security Consultants, Inc., Savannah
  • Frank Henry Rimsek, Savannah

The Board voted to approve the request for a grace period to replace the following establishment’s licensed designee:

  • The Cargo Security Company, Inc., Chicago, IL

The Board approved the following meeting dates for the upcoming year:

  • Thursday, January 28, 2010
  • Thursday, March 25, 2010
  • Thursday, May 27, 2010
  • Thursday, July 29, 2010
  • Thursday, September 30, 2010
  • Thursday, December 2, 2010

The Georgia State Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies will hold its next meeting Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
