Actions Taken by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists at its October 7 Meeting
Macon, Ga. - The Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists met on Friday, October 7, 2011.
The Board voted to license 27 associate professional counselors by exam waiver, 28 professional counselors by exam waiver, one professional counselor by reinstatement, two professional counselors by endorsement, one clinical social worker by reinstatement, three master social workers by exam waiver, one master social worker by reactivation and two marriage and family therapists by exam waiver.
The following petition for variance/waiver requests were presented to the board:
- Jennifer Wilson, Rule 135-6-.06 (2) Inactive Status;
Board Decision: Denied. Insufficient evidence provided to prove hardship.
The board voted to post the amendments to Rule 135-5-.05 Associate Marriage and Family Therapists for the 30-day minimum requirement upon the receipt of the memo of authority from AAG.
The board voted to post the amendments to Rule 135-6-.04 Revocation of Expired Licenses and Reinstatement of Expired Licenses for the 30-day minimum requirement upon the receipt of the memo of authority from AAG.
The Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists will hold its next meeting Friday, November 4, 2011, at 9 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
