Professional Licensing Boards Implement Cost-Saving Technology
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Cosmetology today announced that applicants for master cosmetology licensure can now apply online. Upon passing the required examination, applicants can submit their application over a secure server to ensure completion and receipt.
Master cosmetology applicants can submit their applications on the Secretary of State’s website at: https://secure.sos.state.ga.us/mylicense.
Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel, who oversees the Professional Licensing Board Division, encouraged the 36 licensing boards to explore ways in which they could implement technology to become more efficient and cost-effective. Other boards will soon offer online applications. Current professional license holders can also renew their license online.
