Actions Taken by the State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors at its November 5 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, November 5, 2008.

The Board held 32 appearances for applicants who requested that the Board reconsider the denial of their licenses. The Board overturned the denials of six applications for licensure, upheld the denials of 12 applications for licensure and tabled six applications for further review.  Eight applicants did not attend their scheduled appearances.

The Board voted to ratify 190 residential basic licenses, 118 residential light licenses and 148 general contractor licenses. The Board voted to deny four residential basic contractor licenses, four residential-light contractor licenses and five general contractor licenses.

The Board voted to accept the following Public Consent Orders for probationary licensure:

  • David T. Doerr, Atlanta. 
  • Terry Lee Fernander, Villa Rica. 
  • Richard Gordon Fueston, Woodstock. 
  • David Michael McCay, Clarkesville. 
  • John Wesley Phillips, Odum. 
  • Carl John Raimondi, Dacula. 

The Residential Division of the State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors will hold its next meeting Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division in Macon, Georgia.
