Actions Taken by the Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board Division of Conditioned Air Contractors at its April 20 Meeting
Macon, Ga.—The Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board Division of Conditioned Air Contractors met Wednesday, April 20, 2011.
The Board approved 58 Conditioned Air Non-Restricted applications for licensure and 44 Conditioned Air Restricted applications for licensure.
The Board issued the following license by reciprocity for Conditioned Air Restricted:
The Board voted to accept Cease and Desist Orders for unlicensed practice for the following:
- Charles Scott Hood, Americus
- Jimmy Burnette, Barnesville
- Mark A. Douglas, Jonesboro
- Joe Carol Godwin, Lenox
- Franklin Douglas Williams, Metter
- John Wesley Thomason, Sharpsburg
- Jerry Lyles, Soperton
- Gary Len Aldridge, Thomasville
- Dan Moss, Tybee Island
The Board voted to accept the following Consent Order for licensure:
- Rodney Lawrence, Decatur: $1,000.00 fine and a public reprimand
The Board voted to accept the following Consent Orders for violation of a previously issued Cease and Desist Order:
- David Allen Games, Richmond Hill: $10,000.00 fine
- Danny Lanier Pruitt, Jr., Dawsonville: $1,000.00 fine
The Board voted to accept the following Consent Order for violation of a previously issued Board Order:
- Homer Lee Miller, Valdosta: $1,000.00 fine and 24 months probation
The Board voted to accept the following Consent Order for arrest, conviction, and plea:
- James Daniel Gordon, Loganville: 24 months probation
The Board voted to accept the following Consent Order for substandard work:
- Geoffrey Robinson d/b/a Peachstate Heating and Air, Cumming: $3,000.00 fine and 24 months probation
- Jimmy Lasseter, Byron: $2,000.00 fine; restitution $1,500.00; 14 hours of Continuing Education on Duct Design and 48 months probation
- Larry O. Murkerson, Jr., Thomasville: $1,600.00 and license suspension until 16 hours of Continuing Education is completed
- Roger D. Morgan, Adel: $500.00 fine, 24 months probation and 4 hours of additional Continuing Education
The Board voted to suspend the following license for failure to repay student loan:
- Morris A. Malone, Decatur
The Board voted to terminate probation for the following licensees:
- Alan Timothy Hammock, Marietta
- John Dustin Edwards, Ball Ground
- Joe Whitlock, Acworth
The Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board Division of Conditioned Air Contractors will hold its next meeting August 3, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon.
