Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Barbers at its June 8 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Barbers met on Monday, June 8, 2009.

The Board voted to deny two applications for licensure:

• William L. Thomas d/b/a Underestimated Swag, Stone Mountain: Barber Shop
• Barrington E. Buchanan, Jonesboro: Master Barber, reciprocity

The Board voted to accept payment to settle citations at the following establishments:

• Teasley Hair Improvement, Elberton

The Board voted to grant continuances in cases involving the following establishments:

• Franchize Barber Shop II, Covington
• Clippers Beauty & Barber, Lawrenceville
• Pettifords Platinum Cuts, Valdosta
• Al’s, Washington

The Board voted to uphold citations to the following establishments or individuals:

• Willie A Reddick, Statesboro

The Board voted to uphold the citation but reduce the fine against the following establishments or individuals:
