Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Barbers at its June 8 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Barbers met on Monday, June 8, 2009.

The Board voted to deny two applications for licensure:

  • William L. Thomas d/b/a Underestimated Swag, Stone Mountain: Barber Shop
  • Barrington E. Buchanan, Jonesboro: Master Barber, reciprocity

The Board voted to accept payment to settle citations at the following establishments:

  • K&T’s Barber Shop, Cataula
  • Joe’s Look-Well, Columbus
  • Unique Cuts, Columbus
  • Blades II, Covington
  • Kenny’s Barber Shop, Dublin
  • Teasley Hair Improvement, Elberton
  • The Shop Fayetteville, Fayetteville

  • The Cutting Club, Stone Mountain

The Board voted to grant continuances in cases involving the following establishments:

  • Al’s, Washington

The Board voted to uphold citations to the following establishments or individuals:
