Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Barbers at its February 9 Meeting

Macon, Ga.—The Georgia State Board of Barbers met on Monday, February 9, 2009.

The Board voted to grant a continuance in the following case:

• Bibb Signature Kuts, Macon

The Board voted to uphold the following citations:

• Edward’s Barber Shop, Macon
• House of Kings, Macon

The Board voted to uphold the following citations but reduce the fine:

• Badd Boys, Duluth
• Clipper’s Beauty & Barber Salon, Lawrenceville
• F&D Barber, Conyers

The Board voted to refer the following license to the Attorney General for revocation:

• Cheryl Jackson Attaway, Macon

The Board voted to deny two applications for licensure and close one complaint.

The Board voted to request the Attorney General’s Office to approve the posting of 31 rule changes. When approved, the rule changes will be posted at www.sos.ga.gov/plb/barber.

The Georgia State Board of Barbers will hold its next meeting Monday, April 13, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards Division office in Macon, Georgia.
