Each applicant must meet the following requirements as described in O.C.G.A. 43-4-32 and Chapter 50-10 of the Rules of the Georgia State Board of Architects and Interior Designers: · Be at least 21 years of age; · Submit a completed application to the Board office along with application fee of $50.00; (applications are available at this website and from the Board office by calling (478) 207-2440) · Provide proof of having passed the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) examination or ARE (Architectural Registration Examination); · Provide proof of having acquired a minimum four-year or first professional degree from a college or university with a program accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, NASAD (National Association of Schools of Art and Design), or NAAB (National Architectural Accrediting Board), or a minimum 4-year degree received prior to July 1, 1996, which would constitute the equivalent of a major in interior design. |
