Call for Advisory Referendum Notice is hereby given that an advisory referendum election shall be held on March 2, 2004, in conjunction with the 2004 Presidential Preference Primary Election, pursuant to Ga. Laws 2003, p.26 (Act No. 4). The referendum election is for the purpose of presenting to the voters the following question: “( ) 2003 FLAG VOTE FOR ONLY ONE CHOICE: Should the State of Georgia keep the 2003 Flag adopted at the 2003 Session of the General Assembly or return to the ( ) 2001 FLAG 2001 Flag adopted at the 2001 Session of the General Assembly?” The Secretary of State shall include pictures of the 2001 Flag and the 2003 Flag in appropriate positions on the ballot to assist the voters and facilitate the voting process, and if necessary to save significant printing costs a picture of the two flags may be attached to absentee ballots rather than appearing on the actual absentee ballot. It shall be the duty of the Secretary of State to tabulate and certify the results of the referendum election and report said results to the Governor and the General Assembly immediately following such certification. All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the advisory referendum election may register to vote through the close of business on February 2, 2004.
