The 2008 General Election will drive large numbers of voters to the polls, many for the first time. Secretary Handel and the Atlanta Falcons are teaming up to make sure Georgians know about the upcoming voter registration deadline, the three ways voters can cast their ballot and the photo identification requirement for in-person voting.

Secretary Handel and some of the Falcons’ star players recorded public service announcements to remind voters of important elections information. These public service announcements will air during Falcons radio broadcasts. In addition, end zone-to-end zone LED displays in the Georgia Dome will display important voting information for Falcons fans.

“I want to thank the entire Atlanta Falcons organization for the positive work they do in Georgia’s communities,” Secretary Handel said. “I’m excited to team up with the Falcons to remind Georgia voters about early voting options, voter registration and our photo ID requirement for in person voting.”

“Each season, the Atlanta Falcons strive to be among the most active community citizens in the National Football League,” said Jim Smith, Atlanta Falcons Vice President of Marketing. “This partnership opens new doors for our organization, and represents another valuable way we can leverage our resources to reach communities across Georgia.”
