Driver Improvement

Citation: Rule 375-5-1-.14 Records and Contracts. Amended.
Regulating Agency: Department of Public Safety.
Requirement: To retain (1) schedule of instruction giving date and time of classes; (2) a file containing the original copy of every contract entered into by the clinic and its students for the purpose of obtaining any instructions; and (3) a file system organized by month and year in which classes were held containing: (a) class rosters for each class (containing the clinic's number, name, and address; the instructor's number and instructor's full name; the student's name, date of birth, driver's license number, and certificate number; and amount of fee paid); (b) student contracts; (c)final exams; and (d)course evaluation forms.
Persons Affected: Every driver improvement clinic.
Retention Period: Three years.

Motor Vehicles and Parts, Identification, Purchase, and Resale of

Used Motor Vehicles or Parts

Citation: O.C.G.A. Section 40-4-40 Records to be kept by persons purchasing used motor vehicles or parts for resale.
Regulating Agency: Law enforcement officers.
Requirement: To keep an accurate record of (1) the date of purchase; (2) the price paid; and (3) the name and address of the person from whom the vehicle or part is purchased.
Persons Affected: Any person who purchases a used motor vehicle or any used part comprising a component of any motor vehicle for resale.
Retention Period: A period of not less than one year.
