“CIRCUIT RIDER ARCHIVIST” (CRA) CONSULTATION GRANTS

In 2007, the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Board (GHRAB) awarded Circuit Rider Archivist Consultation Grants to 52 Georgia organizations under Round Two. A professional “Circuit Rider Archivist” visited these organizations and provided advice and assistance in the care of historical records.

The Circuit Rider Archivist Program was funded by the Georgia General Assembly, Clayton State University, and a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) to assist local organizations with the preservation of historical documents, increase public access to historical records, and advance the use of technology in Georgia’s repositories and local government offices.

The Grant Recipients included counties, cities, court systems, boards of education, colleges, historical societies, libraries, museums, and similar organizations in thirty-eight counties across Georgia and are listed below.
