Reference Room hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The Archives is closed for all state and most federal holidays. When the holiday falls on Friday or a Monday, we are also closed on the Saturday following the Friday holiday or immediately preceding the Monday holiday.

Original documents are retrieved from 8:30 to 4:00 p.m., and may be viewed in the Original Document Reading Room until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday

If you are with a legislative office, state agency, or local government, you may call 678-364-3710 for reference assistance. You may be routed to voice mail, but we will return your call as soon as possible.

For all other reference questions, including questions related to family history, please use the general information on this site or select the Ask An Archivist or Mail Reference services listed above. We regret that we are unable to accept general reference questions by telephone.
