Methods of Payment:
Credit Cards:
The Corporation Division accepts credit cards (Visa, MC, Discover, American Express) and ATM/Debit Cards with the Visa or MC logo for filings processed on-line. Filings that are mailed or brought into our offices require payment with a check, certified bank check or money order. We cannot accept cash for payment.
Checks:
All checks must be pre-printed with a complete address in order to be accepted by our offices for your filing. Absolutely, no counter or starter checks will be accepted. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will delay or possibly reject your filing.
Returned Check Policy:
Checks that are dishonored by your bank are subject to a 30.00 NSF charge, along with payment for the dishonored item. Failure to honor your payment within 30 days of notification could result in the following action(s):
- In accordance with Title 13-6-15 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, the Secretary of State may file a Civil Suit against you.
- In accordance with Title 14 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, the Secretary of State reserves the right to Administratively Dissolve the corporation because the corporation paid a fee as required to be collected by the Secretary of State pursuant to the Code by a check or some form of payment which was dishonored and the corporation or its incorporator or its agent has not submitted payment for said dishonored payment within sixty (60) days from notice of nonpayment issued by the Secretary of State.
